Polish citizens need a visa to enter Vietnam. You must apply for a visa electronically through a selected tourist office in Vietnam or apply for it at the consulate in Warsaw.
The passport must be valid at least 6 months longer on the day of submitting the application. The photo for the visa application must be in color, in a straight-ahead format, and for the electronic visa in a jpg file.
The visa section at the consulate in Warsaw is open from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Currently, the Embassy still does not issue tourist visas and does not accept any visa applications without a previously obtained visa approval letter from the authorities in Vietnam.
The waiting time for an electronic visa is 4 business days, and for a visa at the consulate – 1 business day in the case of visas up to 15 days of stay or approximately 1 week in the case of longer visas.
ELECTRONIC VISA – issued for tourist and business purposes, visa valid for 30 days, i.e. you are not allowed to stay in Vietnam beyond the period specified on the visa.
TOURIST – issued for tourist purposes, visa valid for the period specified on specific daily dates, i.e. you are not allowed to stay in Vietnam beyond the period specified on the visa. To apply for it at the consulate in Warsaw, you must first obtain confirmation from a travel agency/tour company in Vietnam, which will submit an application for an entry permit to the Vietnam Immigration Department.
BUSINESS – issued for purposes other than tourism, i.e. business, internship, fair, visa valid for the period specified on specific daily dates, i.e. you are not allowed to stay in Vietnam beyond the period specified on the visa. The party inviting you to work/cooperate (Employer/Partner/Agency, Organization/Company in Vietnam) must submit an application for a business/work visa to the Vietnam Immigration Department on-site in Vietnam.
